Care Packages
Often times students are awarded scholarships and other monetary gifts to assist in paying for tuition, housing, dining and textbooks and little money is left to purchase ongoing essential items or items to help the student adjust to their new home away from home. The LaFont Tugman Memorial Scholarship Care Package Program can assist.
Eligibility requirements:
- Proof of current enrollment in a two year or four year college or university (for the month(s)) in which the application is made.
- Proof of on campus residency or lease agreement with students name on it (address cannot be the same as permanent residence).
- Applicant must reside and attend school in the United States.
- Applicants can enter up to three times per month.
- Applications are accepted for the entire month to be awarded the following calendar month. Awardees will be notified by email and award mailed directly to students school address.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered for award.
- Please email your proof of enrollment and proof of residency to info@lafonttugmanscholarship.org.
The program awards one student per month (including summer session) a care package with items selected from a list provided by the student or the person nominating the student. Whether it is the students favorite cookies, gift cards to grocery or other stores or even restaurants, or if you would like to attend a concert or need a bus ticket home. Items are selected from your wish list.
